Salmon with Lemon and Garlic Butter
Ingredients:
- 4 salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 tbsp unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- Juice of 1 lemon
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
- Lemon slices (for garnish, optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Salmon:
- Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
- Season both sides with salt and pepper.
- Cook the Salmon:
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Place the salmon fillets skin-side down (if skin-on) and cook for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy.
- Flip the fillets and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the salmon is cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
- Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
- In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and melt the butter.
- Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in the lemon juice and zest, cooking for another 1 minute.
- Combine and Serve:
- Return the salmon fillets to the skillet and spoon the garlic butter sauce over them.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices.
