Ingredients:

  • 4 salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1 tsp lemon zest
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
  • Lemon slices (for garnish, optional)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Salmon:
    • Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels.
    • Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  2. Cook the Salmon:
    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
    • Place the salmon fillets skin-side down (if skin-on) and cook for 4-5 minutes until the skin is crispy.
    • Flip the fillets and cook for another 2-3 minutes until the salmon is cooked through. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
    • In the same skillet, lower the heat to medium and melt the butter.
    • Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
    • Stir in the lemon juice and zest, cooking for another 1 minute.
  4. Combine and Serve:
    • Return the salmon fillets to the skillet and spoon the garlic butter sauce over them.
    • Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon slices.
